This vessel was built in 1821 for service across the Firth of Forth between Leith, Newhaven and Kingshorn, Burntisland and was registered at Leith to the trustees of the service August 23 that year.
Her registry was moved to Kirkaldy on January 13 1826 again to Trustees for the cross
Forth services, and she was again re-
Her registry moved Leith on May21 1849 when she was sold to Thomas Ness of Leith who only kept her for a few months as by bill of sale dated September 24 1849 the vessel passed to Smith Stobard, James Henry Bryant, Thomas Rose and Francis Drake, Trustees of Jersey Steam Navigation Co.
The vessel arrived in Jersey on October 19 1849, and as she approached the harbour she hit rocks in the Small Roads. The damage could not have been severe as she made her first trip to Saint Malo on November 4.
Due to demise of some of her owners she was put for sale at auction on 8th March 1850 being purchased by Messrs Stobart & Co for £500, but only a month later on 5th April she was sold at public aution, this time being purchased by Mr. Rose now trading as the Jersey Steam Packet Co. (Registered to Rose on April4 1851)
The vessel could not have been a success as she was again sold at public auction on January 12 1854, when it was stated that her new boilers had been used only once.
She passed to Francis John Grandin, Blacksmith and Andrew Grandin, Mariner, and the vessel was converted into a sailing vessel being registered as such on May 3 1854.
Only two months later in July, the vessel went ashore on the Ecrehous Reef, and although refloated and taken to Gorey she was beyond repair and broken up. Her registry was closed on November 17 1855.

Like many others, ELEANORE only had a short time on the service from Carteret to
Gorey. She was built as the yacht ELEANORE in 1892 for Sir Gilbert Clayton-
By 1931 she was owned by Louis Bogrand and registered in Le Legue, and whilst owned by him she spent the summer season of 1933 on the Carteret – Gorey route, being able to convey 150 passengers. She was not seen after this, but remained in his ownership until the outbreak of the Second World War when all contact was lost.

EMERAUDE made her maiden voyage to the islands on May 20 1994 with a V.I.P. trip to Jersey and Guernsey, and entered service the following day.
Unfortunately the vessel was to serve the company for only three and a half months,
during which she had four periods out of service 24 – 27 May, 4 – 18 June, 19 – 22
July, 22 August – 1 September, totaling thirty-
EMERAUDE was covered for the first period by SOLIDOR 2, but she then went off on charter, and for the other periods a car carrier was chartered until ELBA NOVA took over the service on October 15 1994 until. SOLIDOR 2 returned, a very expensive nine months!
One other point of interest was the door height on the car deck of EMERAUDE was only 2.8m against 3.5m of the vessel she replaced.
Having been returned to her builders the ship was renamed CORSAIRE 6000 while work was carried out on her machinery and she awaited a new operator. It was early in 1996 that she was renamed TAMARII MOORES 8 for service operated by Leprado Valere Sarl between Papeete (Tahiti) and Moorea, commencing in September 1996. The ship was shown as owned by Fast Ferry Tamarii Moores 8, but the operation failed in 2000.
The ship then remained idle until December 2002 when she was renamed CORSAIRE by Aremiti Pacific Cruises for a service to the Windward Islands, but in February 2005 she was withdrawn due to continued engine breakdowns.
There she remains, and is on the sales list, with a note that the owned considers that the two outboard engines need to be replaced and other work carried out.
